First Anti-virus for Symbian S60v5 Mobiles by F-Secure

Posted on 18. Feb, 2009 by geek in News

antivirus f-secureF-Secure is all proud to announce that they are the first anti-virus company to support Nokia ’s new touch-enabled platform, S60 5th Edition. Even though there’s nothing special that could happen to you if you use your Symbian-powered smartphone carefully (i.e. read the screen alerts before actually pressing a button), some people prefer extra protection. And F-Secure is there to help with the latest version of its F-Secure Mobile Security 5.

From the press release:

F-Secure Mobile Security 5 enables smartphone users to experience the full potential of their devices without the fear of mobile threats. F-Secure Mobile Security introduces combined real-time antivirus functionality with a firewall, antitheft and antispyware for S60 5th and 3rd Edition smartphones. F-Secure Mobile Security 5 introduces new features, including a totally redesigned user interface and advanced anti-theft features with remote lock, remote wipe and theft control functionalities.

Interested? Again I argue that you don’t need a malware protection on your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, (why I don’t need any antivirus for S60v3 and S60v5 mobiles, click to read) , but if you insist you could grab F-Secure Mobile Security 5 through F-Secure eStore.
