Maemo 5 Firmware: N900 gets Firmware PR1.1 release 2.2009.51-1

Few days back a firmware v 1.2009.44-1for Nokia N900 was released, but today a new firmware PR1.1 release 2.2009.51-1 will be released in Finland.

This firmware for n900 includes many improvements and bug fixes. You can see the complete changelog of this release at maemo wiki website.

You can install this firmware through SSU (over the air) method only if you have already installed the previous release i.e. v 1.2009.44-1, but if you have not installed that firmware version, you can still update the firmware to this version through Nokia Software Updater.

This release is about 85 MB through SSU, so I will recommend you that you have a good internet connection before you go for this update.

This release will rolled out to different counties step by step, so if you don’t see any notification in your device, please be patient and you will get one soon.
