Now You can Change the Product Code of N97 or 5800 with NSS

change product code Yes, now you can change the product codes of latest nokia mobiles i.e., Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 with Nemesis Service Suite (NSS).

The new NSS supports the windows 7 as well. The advantages of changing a product code and updating are that you can change to a product code that has the firmware available and update, without waiting for Nokia to bring it to your region. It is also helpful in debranding your devices or when you need a firmware with different language packs. The downside is that you may loose warranty or even end up bricking your device if the process is not done properly.

I have already written the whole procedure how you can change the product code in “Update Nokia N95 8GB Product Codes To Change Language Packs” topic and in “How to: De-brand your Nokia handset” topic. You can follow the same procedure to change the product codes of your new nokia mobiles.

Do this whole procedure at your own risk as some say: DO NOT CHANGE THE PRODUCT CODE ON N97 OR 5800. You will brick your device at next update!! The baseband is different between US/China/ROW and it will break. You will void your warranty and service point will not service your device.

hi. l have a N97 swedish language but l want to use it in turkish, could you please tell me how to change language and what do l need? thanks

Hi, i got a n97 from china and i noticed when i came back from my trip there that china mobile doesn’t have wifi, 3G and others stuff because of his government but i noticed from my friend that hong kong mobile have those stuff so… is posible to change my product code of my n97 from china to n97 of hong kong and avoid breaking it? plz answer me.

  @francisco is ur mobile original nokia? If so, u can change product code and update firmware, it is better to get flashed it from a shop.

great post! i just voided my warranty but i was able to update my firmware to the latest version! i just love the kinetic scrolling of my 5800!!!

hello,ive just got a n97 from china its has the imei and the seller has told my dad thats its the original one but the software is not z same as the original one plz help mi to crack it … thx in advance

ive also use the nss but while scaning its says error everytime ………????????????? the nss can detect the phone but cannot continue the following steps

  Use windows XP and install .net framework to work it properly.
