Adtronic application store – Featured App on Nokia

It is this week’s Featured Application on Nokia, so I though I might as well post it here too. Advertisers want to reach mobile consumers, and Liquid Air Lab’s adtronic software makes the consumer/advertiser relationship a mutually beneficial one. By viewing ads presented by adtronic, users of S60 3rd Edition devices can build up credits that lead to cash, free or discounted downloads of applications, and free music downloads and more. The adtronic software allows consumers to choose how many banner ads they will view each day and consequently how much they will receive in the way of rewards for viewing them. It also allows them to choose which marketing campaigns can reach them.

The banner ads can pop up as part of the screen when the consumer receives a new phone call, gets a short message service (SMS) or multimedia messaging service (MMS) message, or misses a call. Consumers who do not want the ads to become too intrusive can limit them. On the other hand, a consumer who wants to load up on reward points can set the application to receive as many ads as possible, given the user’s traffic. The banners can also have click-through capabilities, such as instructing the user to press the [5] button for more information, and then sending the user to the advertiser’s micro-site as a result.

This is what the adplace.com website says: “Leading Developers like Indiagames, Joikusoft, DS Effects, Killer Mobile, ZingMagic and Cellictica have already joined this platform to offer their premium applications ad-enabled and free of charge for the users.

Over 150 applications from different categories have already partnered for the start. Liquid Air Lab expects to have around 1.500 free, ad-enabled applications included by summer 2009.”
