Hacking: Installing Unsigned Apps with CapsOnOff

Posted on 15. Nov, 2008 by geek in Featured | 29 comments

I have already written the tutorial how to hack your mobile so that you can install your unsigned application without signing. But in this tutorial, you’ll see how to make the hack permanent so that you can access the system and private folders any time as well as you’ll be able to install all the UNSIGNED applications and games.

If you want to get the certificate and don’t wanna hack your mobile, read this post.

PROCEDURE:

  • Download the respective files pack and place it to your MMC card (FP1 CapsOn/Off or Pre-FP1 CapsOnOff folder, HelloCarbide.sis and Installserver.exe for OS9.1/9.2 are included in the pack) and extract them in a folder on your memory card.
  • Install HelloCarbide but don’t open it yet.
  • Open any explorer (Eg. X-plore or y-browser) and run in background.
  • Run HelloCarbide press Options/ Menu1/ then press YES until it closes, and most probably you will see a “done” message.
  • Long press your phone menu and select X-plore or y-browser from the background (Multitasking: I will write about it and how to do it). Navigate to the folder where you placed CProfDriver_SISX.ldd and copy this file to C:/sys/bin.
  • Restart your phone.
  • After rebooting, install now Caps On and Caps Off.sis files, both.

Now you’ll have access to system directories (Phone & memory card) whenever you select the application “Caps Off”. To turn off system file access, open the application “Caps On”.

To install files without signing :

  • Make sure you have system file access. If not, open the “Caps Off” application.
  • Open X-plore locate & copy installserver.exe to your phone memory to C:sysbin
  • You are done. You can now install all unsigned application.

    Hi,

Does anybody know anything about any possible progress for the hack for a Nokia E71 with firmware 210.21.006, 02-03-2009, RM-346?

I hope you can hack it using hellox method…. try that or you can get free cert for your phone as well and no need to hack. Sign any app and install.

    Hi Geek,

Is it possible to just uninstall the helloOX and ROMpatcher to go back to the ‘normal settings’. So back to an ‘unhacked’ system?

@Le-Benz…..Only hard format ur mobile and u get rid all hacking….. but you will loose all ur data…. otherwise using xplore… go to sys/bin/ folder and there will be a file… intelliserv.exe (spelling my be slight different) and delete that and restart ur mobile.. hack gone.
