Update Nokia N95 8GB Product Codes To Change Language Packs

Posted on 10. Nov, 2008 by geek in Featured, Tutorials n Tips | 15 comments

Update your Nokia N95 8GB to a firmware with your preferred language pack by changing the product code on your phone. Updating your Nokia N95 8GB to the latest firmware, and/or changing the language pack is almost similar to change the product code of any Nseries mobile. If you are a new Nokia N95 8GB owner, this might be helpful if you want a different language pack in your new phone.

Download and install: Nemesis Service Suite and the latest Nokia Software Update.

  1. Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
  2. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window
  3. Click on the icon “Phone info”
  4. Click on “Scan”
  5. Change the product code to the one you want from the list below.
  6. Mark the case “Enable”.
  7. Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
  8. Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
  9. Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is updating or else you will break it!
  10. That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be upgraded!

Everything works fine, except it doesn’t update. I have tried many times, it downloads the update, but during the installation it stops and give a message that the connection to the phone is lost and that I need to take out the battery and remove all cables and put everything back and start the phone. I have tried it but the same happen over and over.
Does anybody know how to solve this?

    Hi there. I have the following N95 8Gb firm ware: V 30.0.018; 23/7/08; RM-320; Nokia N95 (64.01).

    The NSS I downloaded was V 1.0.38.15.

    PC Connectivity Solution: Version 9.23.3.0
Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver: Version 7.1.17.0
Nokia PC Suite: Version 7.1.30.9 English

When I run NSS>Scan or NSS>Read: the bottom left corner would show “error”. I tried again and again and it came up the same. Can anyone please help? Thanks.

Tried everything in installing the nemesis, but it wont work. Everything went well up to where the nemesis window will be displayed with the search glass at the far right hand corner. But when I press the search glass for my phone infor to be displayed in the nemesis window, nothing appears. I downloaded NSS v 1.0.38.15 Any one out there with an idea of what I am doing wrong pls? My OS is window 7. I also tried uninstalling Nokia suite and OVI applications yet it wont work. I also used *#7370# on my phone to revert it back to factory settings, it still didn’t work.

I think Nemesis doesn’t support Windows 7 properly till now. Use windows XP.
