Update Nokia N95 8GB Product Codes To Change Language Packs
Posted on 10. Nov, 2008 by geek in Featured, Tutorials n Tips | 29 comments
Update your Nokia N95 8GB to a firmware with your preferred language pack by changing the product code on your phone. Updating your Nokia N95 8GB to the latest firmware, and/or changing the language pack is almost similar to change the product code of any Nseries mobile. If you are a new Nokia N95 8GB owner, this might be helpful if you want a different language pack in your new phone.
Download and install: Nemesis Service Suite and the latest Nokia Software Update.
- Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
- Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window
- Click on the icon “Phone info”
- Click on “Scan”
- Change the product code to the one you want from the list below.
- Mark the case “Enable”.
- Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
- Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
- Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is updating or else you will break it!
- That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be upgraded!

Yes, there is a new version in Polish (2nd edition: 21.0.045). So you believe that only way to manage this is to buy it from Nokia. And there’s no other way using all ways described in internet?
I think you need to downgrade the firmware, change the code and then re-update… to be successful. Otherwise change the product code, and go on any mobile shop to get it flashed. It won’t cost much, at least not in our country, only 7 US dollar here.
I can go to any mobile service. Actually I did that previously after I purchased this mobile. It was with EN language and they made it to polish in 10 minutes. But now I thought that it’s EASY and I tried. In here it’s like 30 US$ but really it’s not the deal. I just want to do it myself. Actually if I would know how it will finish – for sure I would go to service. But now on as already lost all my settings and so on (cause my backup is unusable due to difference in the languages-backup was PL and now on its EN.
Any way. You wrote me that I need to downgrade. Where I can find the previous version of the software? How to manage this? Till now on Nokia software updater was doing it for me… if I should start from this-help me please.
