Setting up a mailbox in any S60v3 mobile is very easy but many users dont know how to delete them. Here I will try to explain how to delete the mailbox.

PROCEDURE:

1. Click menu button, go to messaging and open it.

2. Select the mailbox which you want to delete, in my case I have made a mailbox “pimpsymbian.com” and going to delete it.

3. Click on options> settings.

4. Select “Email” and open it.

    Hi,
Is there a way to delete the log entries from the master log individually? By master log, i mean the one that opens when u open the log and scroll to right..which keeps record of all calls, sms one after the other.. i could give the clear log command and it is all cleaned up.. jus want to delete individual entries only..
This problem causing trouble in my love life :)
    Any help would be appreciated…
    Thanks.

Sorry, it is really difficult one to delete the single entry… maybe on hacked phone you can do it but currently I don’t have any hacked mobile to check it out. In hacked mobile you will have to find the log file and delete individually, but not sure about it.

Thanks a lot. That was of a great help. I am using Nokia E71 and was trying hard to remove an e-mail account. The message has been very helpful for me.

All the steps outlined above, i followed without any problems right up until step number 4 (Select “email” and open it). When i click on “email”, it does not take me to step number 5 (open “mailboxes”). Instead, it takes me back to the “Messaging” folder. I reapeted this more than 10 times, with the same results. So I am stumped. Any more ideas please? I have 3 unused email boxes that I’d like to delete from my E71.

@TJ, instead of clicking on email, did you try to click on options and follow the next steps. Maybe it is little different, but it will be there surely.

Hi Geek, I did all that and it didnt work, but I am happy to say that today, I called a local Nokia Call Centre and a technician, aftergoing step by step with me and couldnt get it sorted, figured that the problem was with the phone software. So he asked me to switch the phone off, take the battery out for about five minutes and then put it back in and switch the phone back on. Then he gave me a couple of code numbers to punch into the phone (which made the phone reboot itself automatically) and after that, all the steps outlined above were suddenly there, and I was able to delete the unwanted mailbox.
